Mezzanine Floor
What is a mezzanine floor?
A mezzanine floor is an elevated steel platform. It is a profitable way to better make use of the space. It effectively doubles or thriples the floor area and can provide the users with a much bigger area to work with. This also allows for better segregation in the production line and allows for better and more efficient organization.

Advantages
- encourages organization as different parts of the production line can be segregated into different levels.
- fully maximizes the potential of an area to its fullest
- relatively cheaper as compared to finding alternative locations for expansion
- can be easily installed.
Disadvantages
- only applies to workshops with a high enough ceiling which can accommodate at least two levels.
- mezzanine floors do not have huge weight bearing capabilities, hence heavier machinery would have to be on the first floor. So this idea may not be feasible for workshops or factories that require a larger amount of heavy machinery.
